L-R: Brian Skinner and Andrew Downs

At Thyme Fleet, we’re not just in the business of managing fleets; we’re in the business of driving positive change in South Australia. As a proudly local company, we’ve made it our mission to go beyond providing smart solutions for Adelaide businesses. Our commitment to the community we call home is at the heart of everything we do.

Since our inception, giving back has been integral to our business model. We’ve raised more than $50,000 for a diverse range of South Australian charities, groups and organisations. Our beneficiaries include Flinders Foundation, Hutt St Centre, Sliding Doors Foundation, University of Adelaide, Bedford, Scotch College Adelaide, and The Zahra Foundation. Each organisation plays a crucial role in making our state great, and we’re proud to support their efforts.

But our commitment to community impact goes beyond financial contributions. It’s personal, as exemplified by our involvement in the Unite the Fight campaign – a story of mateship, determination and hope against all odds.

The story behind Unite the Fight

The campaign was born out of a deeply personal struggle. Our Director, Brian Skinner, has been courageously battling multiple myeloma, a rare bone marrow cancer, since 2017. While survival rates have improved, there’s still no cure, and Brian’s journey has been further complicated by amyloidosis, a buildup of amyloid proteins in multiple organs, preventing him from participating in clinical trials.

In the face of this challenge, Brian’s best mate, Andrew Downs of SAGE Automation, refused to stand idle. In 2020, he launched Unite the Fight – a campaign that has raised more than $43,000 for vital research at Flinders Foundation, bringing us closer to a cure for multiple myeloma. The innovative campaign combines the thrill of high-speed racing with the opportunity to contribute to a worthy cause.

Join the fight with the Mustang Experience

For $3500, participants get a three-hour racing extravaganza in the Thyme Fleet GT Mustang at the iconic Bend Motorsport Park. The package includes:

  • three-hour access to the track for three people, including a safety induction
  • an experienced driver to take you around the track, reaching speeds of up to 200 km/h
  • a tax-deductible donation receipt for $1,500 from Flinders Foundation, directly supporting multiple myeloma research.

This isn’t just about experiencing the rush of a 5-litre V8 engine or the precision of high-performance brakes. It’s about being part of a movement; a community coming together to make a difference in the lives of those affected by this devastating disease.

Our ongoing commitment

We believe that business success and community impact go hand-in-hand. When you choose Thyme Fleet, you’re getting personalised, professional service and partnering with a business that cares deeply about South Australia’s future and is actively working to make it brighter.

From our day-to-day operations to initiatives like Unite the Fight, we’re committed to reinvesting in the people and causes that make our state great. Because at Thyme Fleet, we’re more than just a fleet management company – we’re a proud member of the South Australian community, driving change one vehicle, one donation, and one lap at a time.
